Academy of Chiropractic – Advancing Global Chiropractic Education and Leadership
The Academy of Chiropractic is a global organization committed to advancing chiropractic graduate education and promoting a future where 95% of the population receives chiropractic care when clinically indicated.
Founded and directed by Dr. Mark Studin, a chiropractor since 1981 and graduate of New York Chiropractic College, the Academy builds on his decades of experience. Dr. Studin treated up to 650 patients per week during his years in private practice, first as a family chiropractor and later specializing in personal injury, trauma, and primary spine care.
Today, the Academy’s mission has evolved to establish chiropractors as the Primary Spine Care Providers—the first referral choice for lawyers, medical specialists, primary care physicians, urgent care centers, emergency departments, hospitals, and the general public. Supported by extensive scientific literature, this vision reinforces what chiropractic has long known: chiropractors are the best first choice for all spinal-related conditions, except those involving fracture, tumor, or infection.
Dr. Mark Studin: National Authority in Personal Injury and Chiropractic Education
Dr. Mark Studin is the past Executive Director and Co-Founder of the New York Chiropractic Council and one of the most influential figures in modern chiropractic education and personal injury training. His leadership helped shape pro-chiropractic legislation and produced some of the largest chiropractic public events ever held worldwide. With this foundation, Dr. Studin gained a deep understanding of how state regulatory agencies operate and how to effectively communicate the chiropractic message to both professionals and the public.
Armed with advanced education in Spinal Biomechanical Engineering, Dr. Studin has become a respected expert in personal injury, crash metrics, and spine-related trauma. His expertise has made him a sought-after consultant for the legal profession, bridging the gap between medicine, chiropractic, and the law.
Since 1989, Dr. Studin has been at the forefront of educating attorneys nationwide, teaching the “medical” side of “medical-legal.” Over the past three decades, he has personally trained and lectured to more than 400,000 personal injury attorneys across the country. He was one of the first chiropractors in the U.S. to earn CLE (Continuing Legal Education) accreditation, empowering him to teach lawyers directly in multiple states. His engaging lectures have made him a keynote speaker for bench and bar associations, trial lawyer groups, and defense counsel organizations nationwide.
These deep relationships with both plaintiff and defense lawyers—and the ongoing research conducted by Dr. Studin’s legal and academic teams—serve as the foundation for his groundbreaking Doctors Personal Injury Program, which has transformed how chiropractors succeed in the medical-legal world.
Dr. Studin is credentialed by licensure boards across the country to teach chiropractic continuing education in a wide range of specialties, including diagnosis, MRI, spinal biomechanical engineering, accident reconstruction, impairment rating, and head trauma. He is also recognized by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in collaboration with the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, to provide AMA Category 1 Continuing Medical Education credits for both chiropractors and medical doctors. His accredited programs cover Spinal MRI Interpretation, Spinal Trauma Pathology, Orthopedics, and Spinal Biomechanical Engineering.
In addition to his national teaching and consulting work, Dr. Studin serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Bridgeport, School of Chiropractic, and an Adjunct Postdoctoral Professor at Cleveland University–Kansas City, College of Chiropractic and Health Sciences. He has also held faculty appointments in Clinical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Department of Health Sciences.
Dr. Studin’s research has been published extensively through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and he continues to advance chiropractic through evidence-based innovation. He has designed Fellowship Programs in Primary Spine Care and Mini-Fellowships in Neuroradiology–MRI Spine and Musculoskeletal Extremity Imaging, giving doctors the tools they need to excel in clinical and legal environments.
Recognized by numerous legal organizations as the nation’s leading authority on personal injury, Dr. Studin continues to train doctors nationwide on how to navigate and thrive in the medical-legal arena. His teaching has helped chiropractors achieve record levels of professional success, influence, and credibility in personal injury care and beyond.
