"Getting the Lawyer's Attention to Start the Referral Process"
Initially, breaking the ice in a meeting with a lawyer can be a difficult task in many situations. Once you go through the educational process, your goal of clinically correlating causality, bodily injury and persistent functional losses and sharing nyour credentials, the lawyer's eyes should be "lit up like a Christmas tree."
At this point in time, you should also tell the lawyer that you specialize in rebutting negative peer review reports and negative IME's. These are the areas that cost the lawyers their cases and you can be the cause of preventing this from happening (based upon clinical necessity, truthfulness in reporting and findings). This is another level of becoming the lawyer's "go to" expert and beginning the process of being indispensible to the lawyer.
