"To the Really Smart and the Really Stupid People"
A Rousing Bronx Cheer!
|A sign of contempt, usually when you
stick your tongue between your lips,
and you blow though them, resulting
in a loud, blubbering, and flatulent
noise. Also called a raspberry
|a loud and rude flatuation sound made with the lips
For all my efforts, all I got a Bronx cheer from my cousin.
|A sarcastic cheer when a struggling team completes a mundane task.

I am a New Yorker and at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx (aka shrine) we have perfected the cheer over the years...I never proclaimed to be normal or not in need of serious help!
I could really enjoy writing this, but I know the pain associated with this, so I will refrain out of respect for those who are too smart or too stupid to listen. The really smart people know more than most others, just ask them, and the really stupid people...are just stupid. The one thing both have in common is procrastination and taking direction to effectuate immediate action.
I received my typical call yesterday, one that I get multiple times per month. The doctor said, "I am getting audited by a carrier and I was just about to start with Dr. Schonfeld to get a self audit and make sure my records were in order and now I have a week to respond. What do you think I should do?" This doctor has been with me for over 3 years and has had all that time to bulletproof his practice and his life.
The call yesterday, was from perhaps the smartest person I have worked with in my career and I do not say that lightly. (Sorry Ralph, you aren't it!) My direction was that he should contact Dr. Schonfeld directly and get him all of his stuff. He responded that he already did that and the package of documentation was being overnighted already.
I made some recommendations, but this was already in a 911 situation with little opportunity to take a pro-active strategy. After he works with Dr. Schonfeld today, he then has to get me copies of records for my input and then he can get a sense of where he is and what else needs to be done for this audit and his future documentation needs.
A VERY BAD place to be in the grand scheme of things. Am I concerned about this doctor? As always, I am very concerned because an audit is about getting YOUR money for services already rendered and paid and the auditor makes a living off of you. They are leeches. You can prevail in every audit if you are set up properly to document your cases.
Fax me your records for a FREE complaince review because you will be audited. It's only a matter of time because you are big business to the leeches and they want your money. This is not a scare tactic, it is the truth and I only want to protect you from yourself!
To all of those really smart and stupid people, A ROUSING BRONX CHEER because if you listened and took action, you could have made your life much less stressful and more profitable. I don't get to keep your money...You do!
