“Weeeeeere Here” Retrospective Audits are Coming Now

This is not a scare tactic; it is a reporting of the facts. I have received calls from dozens of doctors nationwide. Medicare, PI insurers, managed care companies and indemnity insurers are sending audit requests en masse. The carriers are fishing for money, yours! They are knocking on every door and will go after the weakest to minimize their legal expenses while maximizing yours. They are looking at your documentation and are entitled to do so by law.

I just lectured on this topic in New York and some jackass stood up and said, "I am not sending anything to them." What a schmuck! I don't want to have his legal bills or headaches. The best way to handle this IS TO DO IT RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. It's too easy to screw this up!

I have said before if money is tight, fire me and hire him. His fee is $500 for a complete audit, the biggest bargain in the industry. I will help you make the money, he will allow you to keep what you make. What good is making it if you have to give it all back and more?
 
3 years ago I promised you that we would be here today and many of you took the advice and have worked with him. You can put your heads on your pillows and feel confident. The rest of you now call me having to answer to the audit with trepidation. Rightfully so.
 
A paper request is the beginning stage of an audit, but rest assured, it is an audit. You have to answer the request.
