Dr Studin: So what's going on? Tell me what's your situation?

Guest Dr: So I've had the situation twice in the last couple of weeks where I've had a patient or several patients that I've seen in the past cared for. They were happy with care. I'd recommend his attorney, but they'd go somewhere else under a recommendation from a family member or otherwise. And that attorney tried to steer them elsewhere. Well, it would be coming back in. I and the others I believe had followed that recommendation and I think I lost himself now, whatever future.

Dr. Studin: So you can't put the patient in the middle of this because you know, they don't want to feel like a football. Okay. So that's number one. But number two, I would call the lawyer up and say I'd love an opportunity to sit with you. I've been trauma qualified; I work with a very robust medical team. I understand you recommended that my patient not continue with me, which I'm not happy about, but I understand your perspective probably being screwed so many times with inferior chiropractors not dealing with the inappropriate medical team, but I'd like to share with you what we do so you have a level of confidence in our clinic, okay. And if they say yes, I'd love to meet with you. And if they say no listen, you know, I hear what you're doing. I understand what you're doing. I don't want this to become a two-way street, you know, but I'd rather just sit and chat with you. So I get comfortable with you to be able to steer clients to you and you get comfortable with me to be at least able to stay with them. Okay. And then see what they say. And that's the way to catch it. And there's no other, there is no other real answer than that. You've got to keep it real simple. You can threaten, you can't call them a scumbag even though you want to. Okay?
