Dr. Studin: So, what was your question again? the original question is, what should you do in order to increase relationships or get relationships, right? Yes. How many years are you in practice?

Guest Dr: 21.

Dr. Studin: Okay. And in those past 21 years, you've had many PI cases, correct?

Guest Dr: Yes. But not many in the past 12.

Dr. Studin: And that's a concern why you haven't attracted any oh, at all in a family practice, usually you get one or two a month usually.

Guest Dr: Oh, like almost zero.

Dr. Studin: Okay. That's just strange. Now with that being said, what you want to do is, there's two fold:

Number one, you want to go to the local Bar Association, and you want to sponsor some of their meetings. If they actually, the first thing you want to do is find if there's a trial lawyers association that meets close to you in your state and you could Google it and you can call them up and you want the auto part. In other words, the people trial lawyers is anyone who sues. But that could be banking, it could be matrimonial, I mean it could be real estate but you want the auto part. People that deal with the auto accident and you want to sponsor their meetings. Okay. And if they don't have one locally where you are, then you want to go to the county Bar Association and you want to find out if there's a plaintiffs committee and you want to sponsor their meeting. If doc spots will general meeting you just going to go, and you've got to have re you can just kind of go and you're going to meet people and shake hands and give out information. I mean those are the things that you're going to want to do because you're going to want to start creating relationships and you've got to let people see you. You've got to be a little bit more visible. Okay?

So, the second thing you're going to do is you're going to create breakfast, cle meetings, not for formal cle credit. You're going to pick one or two topics in the book that you like. Okay? Oh, are the bimonthly flyers. You're going to get the research. Um, and what you're going to do is you're going to, um, invite lawyers and you're going to start concern personal injury lawyers, and you're going to, could start concentrically out from your office and you're going to keep inviting them. One, two, three, four, five, six, just going to keep inviting until you get two or three to say yes. And you can say, I'm going to be having it on age dating party edit desks.

I'm going to be having a seminar. Um, how low speed does not mean that your client cannot be injured. Just tick topics. So those are the sexy topics, okay? And you're going to have, and you're going to sit down and you're going to do, um, the seminar, this little one hour over breakfast, and you're going to try to find a nice place. I mean, not a Bagel shop, which is noisy. Find some place that has, that's why the trendy that's relatively quiet or has a tablecloth on it. But the place you could sit comfortably. There's a lot of trendy places here that don't want you to sit for an hour and, and you've got to figure that out and you're going to sit and you're going to educate them. And your goal is not to get a referral, right? Your goal is to get them, invite you into their office on a monthly basis to educate their staff.

But you're also going to do a series of these. So you're going to come up with the next while I'm doing the next one. You know, it'll be a month, it'll be a month from now. If you'd like to join me, I can, you know, you know, lock the space in with you, but now you're going to put two or three lawyers in. Yeah, you're going to try to do this, you know, two, three times a week. Okay. So with three lawyers in, and you might have to call 20 to get one and you call up and say, listen, you know, I'm Dr so, and so, I want to keep this anonymous. Um, you know, I'm calling from Dr Student's office. Um, um, doctor, have you staffed it with doctor student? Is having a, um, a m a CLD seminar on age dating, herniated discs, a low speed accident?

Does it mean there's no bodily injury? And, um, and created a flyer on that, you know, just the name of the seminar, that location, the time and they get, you know, seven to eight in the morning or eight, seven 30 to eight 30 before, you know, before office hours. Okay. Um, and I'd like to invite, there's no fee. There's no cle credits. It's just education. There's no fee. You know, there'll be two or three people at the offer breakfast, and I'd like to invite Mr So-and-so and have your staff call their staff. Just go right down the list. But you've got to get less fun than just do that. So those are the two things, places you start.
