A synovial cyst is not cancerous, not dangerous unto itself… BUT... It can be a significant space occupying lesion. The arbiter after the cellular makeup (cancer vs. non-cancer) is aberrant neurological sequalae or compression of a duct, etc. In our world, it is typically determining through clinical examination if there are neurological deficits.
