“Credential = $453,000 Verdict”
I told you so!!!
I received this yesterday. I usually don’t put testimonials into consultations. However, I want to add this to the marketing section as I want you to share this with your local lawyers. What we do…Works for them and is the reason for us to be the first referral and let us triage their cases.
Below is the information you requested on the trial as it related to my credentials.
Last week I had a jury trial on one of my patient's with a plaintiff attorney that was in attendance at the Attorney Seminar you presented at, in Arkansas. He and his son are excellent attorneys and have long been at the forefront of embracing the scientific literature and technology to help improve trial outcomes. As much as having a well qualified and credentialed doctor is essential, it is equally important to have highly skilled attorneys.
Even though the patient had seen other doctors for his condition, I was the primary doctor, out of many other doctors seen, to give testimony regarding the crash dynamics, spinal biomechanics, injuries to the neck, back, knee, mTBI and left shoulder. The reason I was the primary doctor to talk about all these injuries rather than just one or two of the injuries was due to my credentials and the Academia of Chiropractic, Cleveland University Kansas City, Chiropractic and Health Sciences and the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine behind those credentials. There was an orthopedic who also testified by deposition, regarding just the shoulder due to it needing to be replaced surgically. An economist and life care planner also testified to lost income and future medical expenses.
The jury returned a verdict of $453,000.00. This same defense firm was the one that I had a trial against back in June that the jury returned a $500,000.00 verdict. In both of these trials, there was a long list of motions where the defense was trying to prevent me from talking about specific areas like MRI, traumatic brain injury, biomechanics, crash dynamics, etc... The defense motions were all denied by the judge. This denial of defense motions was because my credentials proved that I was qualified to speak on the topics.
Being the “real deal” with the academia to back you up does make a difference. Even though I had a lot of academia in the PI area before joining the Academy of Chiropractic your education programs and guidance has helped take things to a whole new level.
I have also been contacted by 2 different attorneys out of Louisiana and Mississippi to evaluate patients they are representing due to my credentials. In part, these referrals were as a result of having my CV published on US Chiropractic Directory. After referencing and reading the CV one of the attorneys is having the patient come up to Little Rock from Houston, TX. The attorney told me your credentials will let us put together the crash dynamics, biomechanical facts, and injuries together with this case. Based on the medical records, on this patient, there are a lot of injuries that have been diagnosed by over 10 different doctors, mostly MD's, but he wants my expertise due to the credentials and academia.
The other patient was already sent to see me from Baton Rouge, LA. Each of these patients is over 8 hours from Little Rock. It just shows what attorneys will get their clients to do to be seen by a well-credentialed doctor. Attorneys and patients have to be able to find you, and this is where the US Chiropractic Directory comes in, along with attorneys in your state talking about your credentials. The word spreads.
I can say with a high degree of surprise, my Diplomate in Orthopedics and Functional Neurology never did anything for me. I am not saying getting the extra knowledge wasn’t good, it’s just that it didn’t advance my career. Your program has, and the US Chiropractic Directory has been an invaluable tool to be found.
Thank you for what you do and the programs that you have put together for us to become the best of the best.
