Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Become the Reason the Lawyer Wins”

“I deserve happiness, peace and wealth! Mark Studin 2018

Thanks to Brian Pollack from CT for the language.

Along the superior body of L5 there's an acute Schmorl’s Node/end plate fracture, there are visible signs of acute bony inflammation surrounding the Schmorl’s Node demonstrated by the Type I Modic change. I also reviewed the prior CT of her pelvis from 2016 and the Schmorl’s Node was not visualized. This end plate fracture is 100% causally related to the accident dated 09/22/17.

The above language is as close to a “SLAM DUNK” as a lawyer can get. What would “seal the deal” is if Dr. Pollack attached the previous CAT scan showing a normal end plate and then a current MRI image showing the Schmorl’s node and Modic 1 changes [Demonstrative Evidence].

In your report, you articulate the following:

Mrs. Jones previous CAT Scan showed normal contours on the vertebral end plates on the inferior of L3 and superior borders of L4 dated 5-3-2017. In her post motor vehicle MRI, the MRI dated 2-4-2018 revealed an acute Schmorl’s nodes on the inferior of L3 and superior borders of L4 with high signal surrounding both lesions with associated Modic 1 changes.

To simplify the explanation, Mrs. Jones has end plate fractures on the inferior of L3 and superior borders of L4 that are acute (recent) based upon Modic 1 changes and are consistent with the recent motor vehicle accident dated 1-25-2018.
To further clarify this, Mrs. Jones “broke her back” in her lumbar spine at L3 and L4 and the swelling in the bone verifies this was caused recently.

The same language holds true whether you have a previous CAT Scan or not. Modic 1 changes verify recent injury. This is why you must take the MRI course and study with Dr. Peyster. When you point this out to the lawyer and that the radiologist didn’t report it (they rarely do for some reason??) you become the reason the lawyer wins their cases.

BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You just became indispensable to the lawyer and any and all competition seems irrelevant if the lawyer is only half smart!
