Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Primary Spine Care Qualified”

We now offer the Credential

“Because it says so in a legal document” Mark Studin 2017

Based upon feedback I get from doctors, carriers, lawyers, academia and a host of other resources, it enables me to understand the future trends in our profession. These future trends dictate our success one – two – three – four years from now and mandate that we prepared prior to those changes. It has been my mantra over the last decade for those in this program that I keep you “ahead of the curve” in what you need to do because if you wait until it needs to be done… It’s too late!

Some of those future trends deal with getting new cases while others deal with reimbursement, yet others have to do with compliance. This recommendation embodies all the above.

Over the last three years, Dr. Owens and myself have been defining Primary Spine Care in chiropractic. We have written articles about it, we have put on multiple symposiums centered on the topic and have created online courses so that you can be ahead of the rest of the profession as a “primary spine care provider.”

This has got the attention of the entire profession, inclusive of academia, insurers, the courts and industry. As a result, our doctors are considered the leaders in our industry, where others are trying to emulate what we have accomplished so they can do what we are…They are 2 years behind us and we are forging forward. Our doctors are being called by hospitals, universities for sports teams, industry and a host of positions within the courts both plaintiff and defense. Because of all the above Dr. Owens and myself have created a primary spine care qualification program as these entities are now requesting (demanding) evidence of graduate chiropractic education specializing in primary spine care.

This level of credential is going to become the new standard in the future in showing evidence of advanced training in position you to be exactly what primary spine care means: the first referral option for everything spine except for fracture, tumor or infection. To that end we have worked with our new continuing education sponsor, Cleveland University – Kansas City, College of Chiropractic who now formally recognizes the credential of “Primary Spine Care Qualified.”

It is for all the above reasons and to add an additional credential to your CV, which will help you in a multitude of ways (lawyers, medical specialists, etc.) that you are already aware of. My overwhelmingly strong opinion is that you get every credential you can get your hands on that is valid and will serve you with some point in time your career. This is one of those credentials.

To earn your “qualification” you must have attended either live or in a webinar any 4 of the 5 previous primary spine care programs we have presented. As of this posting, we have done 4 and on January 6-7, 2017 we will be presenting the 5th. Over time, more and more will be presented to give you more choices.

To learn more, catch up on courses or to apply, once you have attained the credential, go to www.teachdoctors.comand look at items #16-#20. You must fill out an application (printed from the site) to be sent the qualification.
