Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Proper vs. Improper Carrier Denials”

“Just get it right… then fight” Mark Studin 2017

Carriers are getting more and more aggressive in denying your valid claims. This includes Medicare and is something you need not be afraid to fight…IF… you have done it right. I am NOT a Medicare specialist at any level and if you take Medicare, you must learn the rules. They are equally as agressive in denying your claims because the auditers get bonused on how much they get away with denying your claims.

IF… they are denying on necessity, you must ALWAYS challenge the license of the provider who made the medical determination of necessity.  Should “who” denied your care not be listed in the document, formally request a copy of the license of the provider with all of the language previously explained in numerous past consultations.

Never lose sight of the fact that all carriers will go after the “easiest” targets.
