Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Smarter” Mark Studin 2017
I had a case a few years ago I would like to share with you. I had a man come in with significant neuro signs (weakness, spastic reflexes, loss of sensation). Before I started treatment, I ordered an MRI. I was 99% sure there would be positive findings in the study. I get the report back and all it says is Normal cervical series. I always read my own films (even pre Studin, lol). When I looked at the films (pre-cd) they were completely non-diagnostic worse than the films you just shared. I had my receptionist call the MRI facility (Poughkeepsie, NY) and requested that the study be repeated as it is not diagnostic. She was told by the facility director "There is a report, so it was diagnostic request denied". I got on the phone this time and insisted that I talk with the radiologist, well he was "busy". So I left a message requesting that the on call radiologist look at the films and if he felt it was diagnostic I wanted to come down there to go over it with him. Well he called back and agreed (he did not read it initially) and they would re-do the study. I told the patient to go there immediately that it was very important we get this settled and to not leave until they give you a copy of the films to bring immediately to my office. Before he could return the Radiologist called me back and before I could say hello thanked me profusely it turned out this patient had a spinal tumor. He told me there was "something wrong with the magnet and they would be taking no further cases until it was repaired". You are 100% right you have to be your patients advocate and you cannot abdicate that duty to anyone unless you would bet your life and career on it.
