Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Your Job as an Expert Doctor”

The lawyer is upset and needs something to argue to win the case and calls you to see if there anything you can give him to prevail. Perhaps a few %’s of impairment or a report on tissue damage…Anything.

Your job, report the truth. The lawyer's job, argue to win the case with the facts presented.

If there is nothing, then there is nothing and the lawyer must accept your findings. The second you change your report so that a lawyer can win his/her case is the beginning of the end. In many cases, if the lawyer pressures you, the only recourse is to sever ties with that lawyer.

The findings are the findings and once you alter your findings, that lawyer will own you forever because fraud has no statute of limitations.
