Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Cavitation or Audible Pop Upon Adjustment”

In doing my research for the Primary Spine Care Conference, I came across this passage that should help clinically every day in practice:

“…and therefore, compared the reflex responses of HVLAT manipulation treatments that resulted in cavitation of the joint, as judged by the treating chiropractor and confirmed by accelerometer measurements with corresponding treatments that did not result in cavitation. They concluded, "the reflex responses seemed to be the same in both cases, which suggests that cavitation was not needed to elicit the observed reflex responses."

Simply put, you get the same neurological response with or without the audible “pop” or “crack” as the lay person describes the noise with an adjustment.
