Preamble: many of these issues are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then the larger issues often take care of themselves and you can focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice and more family time.

“Trauma Expert Letter to Lawyers”

This document can be used for mailing or email messages to inform lawyers that you have undergone training as a "trauma expert." It is solely intended to get their attention as another tool in communicating your clinical excellence.

I firmly believe that this letter like all other letters will get you ZERO referrals. However, this is one more way to communicate with attorneys and get them to see (even in the smallest way) that you were trained and are a credentialed trauma expert. The “WOW” moment in the document is as always what’s in it for them because we never lose sight over the fact that lawyers like any other referral sources only care about their business and working with those that can further their endgame. With lawyers, it’s about making money for themselves and secondly their clients.

There is a “call to action” in the document and can be used either with snail mail or email or both and does require you to have a certain level of credential by having a minimum of:

1.  MRI Spine Credentialing

2.  Spinal Biomechanical Engineering

3.  Spinal Trauma Pathology

These courses are the bare minimum now required based upon the last 10-12 lawyer seminars I have given with the emphasis on “bare minimum.” Never lose sight of the fact that our success is predicated upon the standards of the courts in all 50 states and lawyers are being “squeezed” more than doctors in today’s marketplace.

Therefore, it is our responsibility to recognize the needs of the medical – legal community and be prepared before they either ask or simply not work with us because we don’t meet the current standard.

To access the letter, go to Section #14 on the Consulting site [Forms and Communication] and scroll to the second to last item titled “Trauma Expert Letter to Lawyers.”
