Preamble: many of these issues I bring are small, yet each issue is just that… an issue. If you take care of the small issues, then you will be able to build and focus on the larger issues… a larger, more profitable practice along with more family time.
A HUGE PIECE OF THE STRATEGY
This is a so simple, but yet another HUGE piece in your strategy to overtake the marketshare in your region.
We always talk about credentials and many of you have worked very hard on creating an admissible curriculum vita. However, you must realize that the creation of that document is not the end-game, but the beginning.
Every 2-3 weeks, based upon how often I get published or lecture around the country I am adding to my CV. What are you adding?
If you have not added to your CV in the last 4-5 months, you are losing an opportunity to market your practice through your clinical excellence. In addition, you are not keeping up with changes in the industry and will soon find yourself looking at everyone else who is doing better than you. The best in the world either keep taking courses or are a part of research that pushes their industry forward. As an example, Dr. Owens and myself took a course on Narrative Medicine at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital in New York City 2 weeks ago. We learned so many new things that will make us better.
At the same time, it gave me an opportunity to write to you about it and keep you further engaged with this program. What are you doing to keep your referral sources continually engaged with you? Your CV is a prime tool for that.
You all should have a preferred listing on the US Chiropractic Directory by now as that is a basic. Each time you add to your CV, that becomes a new article (it is how we programmed the site) and it pushes you further up in organic searches for SEO. It also gives you an opportunity to email all of your referral sources (patients included) the link to your CV that has been constructed online in the US Chiropractic Directory and focus them on your new credential.
This is one simple and “respected vehicle” on how to keep all of your referral sources engaged with you on a continual basis and will let them know that you are the best-of-the-best through clinical excellence. This is how to keep them engaged with never saying “refer to me.” They will get it and you will “get it” as well with new cases over time. Remember, this isn’t a “get rich quick” game, it is a strategy to win for the balance of your career and this is another piece of that strategy.
If you are missing any of the pieces, then the strategy will not work as you want it to… My goal is for you to win at every level… What is your goal???
