Build Your Infrastructure 120 I
I just hung up with a new doctor who started our program 1 month ago and quit after 2 weeks. I did a compliance review with him as he is still using travel cards and cryptic evaluation notes. When I explained to him that 100% of every Medicare patient is being audited for 2013 and beyond and the other carriers will follow suit in some fashion, he needs to be complaint.
I went on to say that I could care less if he doesn’t get 1 additional new case. He must be complaint. He stated that he quit because he was overwhelmed with the work required to get to a barely acceptable level of documentation and was asking me to give him some advice on a case with a current lawyer. I shifted the conversation back to his compliance issue and said the following:
“Too bad. I don’t care if you are overwhelmed, upset, unhappy, scared or any other emotion. I only want to know that you are calling me get help becoming complaint, not help to get you out of the carrier’s retrospective audits where they want $100,000’s from you or more and you live with defense lawyers around the clock.
Are you complaint? Have I reviewed your documentation? It is free with membership and you MUST take advantage of it.
