Office Systems #42 OS
We are in the service industry. Yes we help people get well, but so do many others in your community and unless you deliver outstanding customer service you can be assured that your patients will end up in another office.
I have been alerted that because auto carriers ado not fall under Federal regulatory authority that they have the legal right to stay with ICD-9. The legal stance is a confirmed fact, but according to many sources the auto carriers historically fall in line with Federal guidelines regarding coding and description of services.
In addition, I have head RUMOR (not fact) that many auto carriers would not be paying on ICD-10 codes. Therefore… I am strongly urging you to take another step and call every auto and W/C (they too do not fall under Federal authority) carrier only ONCE to ensure they are accepting ICD-10.
IF… you find any carrier in your state does not accept ICD-10, then let me know ASAP and I will share it with the group. If they do… you do NOT need to contact me.
