"Lawyers Can vs. Want"
I got an email today from the lawyer that I did 3 cases for last month. He requested that I do one more case. Truthfully, he didn't simply request, he pleaded with me to take the additional case. His comment was, "The opposing counsel submitted a summary judgment for dismissal and unless I can provide your type of report with your credentials, I will lose the case before I ever get started."
When I called lawyer and told him that my schedule was awfully full, he explained to me that because of my credentials, he is able to work with me and get my work admitted through the courts as testimony. He also wants to work with me because I am able to articulate on paper bodily injuries in relation to causality and persistent functional loss in such a manner that opposing counsels, jurors and justices clearly understand the clinical correlation and permanency as a result of the injuries. He also explained that no matter how much money he has spent for experts in his 30+ years of practicing law, no expert has been able to do what I have given him. He shared with me that if I had a practice, 100% of his clients would go through my office, but since I don't have a practice, he does not care how much I charge to evaluate and testify for the patients. He considers every penny spent as a tremendous investment for his return on the dollar.
Last night, I lectured to Omaha, Nebraska, via a live videoconference. Although you will be hearing more about that in the near future, I wanted to share with you that Dr. Morehead, the sponsoring doctor, told me this morning, in conversation, that as soon as the seminar was over, lawyers came up to him and shared with him the same sentiment as my lawyer shared with me as described above. Once the lawyers understood Dr. Morehead's credentials, they knew they could work with him and based upon the narrative report we share with the attorneys during the live seminars, they ALL want to work with us.
Last night, in Omaha, Nebraska, this paradigm shift took 2 1/2 hours to create and as a result, today there are 30 lawyers running after Dr. Morehead. It doesn't take my 33 years of experience to create this paradigm shift as Dr. Morehead is only in practice a few years and is quite junior to me in every way except his knowledge base and his credentials and that is all the legal community cares about. As a side note, Dr. Morehead took a "leap of faith in himself" and as a result, he created lawyers that now want to work with him in a large way, no different than that one lawyer who wants to work with me.
You, too, can create the same scenario by simply being credentialed, having the knowledge base, having the documentation and then implementing the plan prescribed in the many educational modules in the consultations. I look forward to each of you to having the immediate success that Dr. Morehead is experiencing.
