"Report of Findings...The Same Story to All of the Smart People"
The trilogy of how to prepare and present a report of findings is now located in "Office Systems & Admissibility" in the "Consulting Site-Categories." I am reminding you because I have now spoken to my "umpteenth" really, really smart doctor who has determined that a written report of findings and a third party video is not necessary because they do a really good job...NOT SO!!!!
I have reviewed lots of systems and Back Talk Systems still has the best in the industry as far as I am concerned. They cover every base in a graphically responsible manner and do not build chiropractic by "trashing" other forms of treatment. The written report of findings is well done and the patients have something to take home and review when they are not stressed with the "deer in headlights" mindset.
Remember, when patients are in front of you, they are often experiencing pain, fear or denial and often a combination of all three. They need something to read and a 3rd party explanation is critical to get them to understand the concepts you are teaching them. Do not lose sight of the fact that you are often giving recommendations that are not consistent with what they have been told about health for their entire lives.
Here is what a written report of findings will do for you and your patients:
1. Increase compliance and PVAs
2. Get direct referrals of family members and friends for both PI and non-PI cases
3. Reduce staff time due to not having to run after patients
Therefore, to all of the smart people, a rousing "Bronx cheer" celebrating your ignorance... Remember, us stupid ones are laughing all the way to the bank.
